    Lazy Saturday

I know, before any of you faint and fall off your chairs! Its me writing something new on my blog! I have had nothing but complaints from friends who are sick and tired form reading about The Tower of London.  Its shocking but it has actually been so long that I couldn't even remember how to log in as myself to edit the space! I even resorted to calling poor Manijeh who was having fun in IKEA to guide me! Bless her she was not able to help but I got there in the end!
What can I tell you, lots of things have happened since July 2006! I have settled well into my new job and that seems like years ago now! Neil and I went to Hawaii end of September/October.  What a place that is, we highly recommend it! We went to Oahu, and stayed on Waikiki beach in Honolulu.  There is lots to do, something for everyone, nature walks, museums (mainly for the boys they are all Navy related!), surfing, beaches and of course shopping! We had such a great time that we are thinking about going back there this year!

A day out at The Tower of London

On Friday 21st July we went to The Tower of London.  It had been years since Neil had been there and as for me I must admit that I had never been!  If there is anyone out there  who hasn't visited, I recommend it, we spent 6 hours there and we could have been longer! It's a great day out.  You can do the tour and listen to the Yeoman Warder's tales of history, and there is plenty of that!  It was a really hot day so we even caught the sun a bit!  I have put some photos here to tempt you!  There was one particular chap that I was very pleased to meet, and that was a cute little cat who lives there!

Afterwards we met up with Sanaz & Pardis in Covent Garden and had more fun!

    Sanaz's Birthday

I really can't believe the weather! We are truely having a summer! Such a shame that we have to work and we can't just stay outside all the time.  I meant to write something earlier in the week, as last weekend we went out to celebrate Sanaz's birthday, but the week went so fast and I was usually too hot and bothered to even turn this computer on!

It was a fun evening, most of us just watched the dancing some professionals like Simon showed off with a few moves!

So my little sis is growing up and she still looks like a 17 year old! Good for you girlie, I love you lots!!  Here are some photos of us having a laugh!

    Ciao for now.

    I'm Hot!!!!

    Hello lovely people!!

Its so hot! Don't get me wrong, I love the hot weather, but boy are we unprepared for it in this country!! The tube is unbearable I nearly passed out today!!  Just remember to keep yourselves hydrated, but watch it drinking too much water is also very dangerous!!

Enough of that, I am bored at the moment as Neil is watching 'Battleplan' - someone save me! I might go to bed shortly!!

So what are you people up to? You need to drop me a line!!

Take care folks and keep cool.

    What's going on?

I am watching the most disappointing game of the world cup at the moment! Argentina V Holland, its nearly full time and its still 0-0!! What is going on! I need Argentina to do better than this!

Not much has happened today, its a bit cooler and I hope the sun comes back soon.  I am sure you all watched the England game last night, not a bad result hey? at least we can avoid Germany now! wow, I actually sound like I know what I'm talking about! well at least I am trying, so boys stop laughing now please!

Poor Iran, at least they managed to score today, albeit too little too late, I shall have to hang my head in shame and hide my football shirt.

I came across a funny picture today (ok so someone sent me a link), this taken in 2002.  It seems like an age ago!

    I got the Job!!

Well, it seems that the hot sun has left us for the moment.  I don't mind as long as it comes back in a few days!!  I must say thanks to all of you who sent me positive vibes last Wednesday for my interview.  I got the job!!  I am very excited to be a Chief Scientist!! yeah! I shall return the favour for you at some point.

I hope you are all enjoying the football, I can't believe Iran played so badly on Saturday, there I was in my Iran shirt, with everything crossed!! But alas it wasn't to be, I just hope they don't embaress us against Angola!!  Spain are getting beaten by Tunisia at the moment! Rather funny!

I had a lovely weekend, we went to Northampton and saw my Dad, sister, her hubby and my beautiful niece, you can check out her cuteness from my albums.  Yesterday was relaxing and we watched several Lost episodes, We are up to episode 16 of series 2.  Great stuff, I hope you are all enjoying it, interesting stuff happening!

We can all breathe a sigh of relief!!  Thanks to all you guys who thought of me for my interview yesterday.  I still don't know the result but it was a relaxed interview and I think it went well.  Time will tell, I think I should know by Friday afternoon.  I will keep you posted.

So, I hope you are not all footballed out!! It's just the beginning, I shall be wearing my Iran shirt on Saturday and cheering the team as I hope all of you will do!! I would love to see Iran go through so keep everything crossed please!!

    It's a scorcher!!

    Hey All,

yes before any of you say anything,  it is infact Monday again!!  What a glorious weekend it was too!! I hope that you have all been practicing safe sun out there! No excuses now, none of this ' but I'm Persian, I don't burn!'.  I know a couple of people who had to learn their lesson the hard way on a holiday in March!! (you know who you are!!)  Seriously though, at the risk of sounding all grown up and preachy, watch yourselves out there and make sure you cover up and wear sunscreen.  I have far too often seen the worst consequences!!

Okay, educational segment is over!! You can relax now!  Its 8.25 pm and I am semi watching Italy labouring against Ghana!! I am feeling rather proud of myself as I not only went to the gym this morning at 6.30 am, but have just been swimming with my lovely Manijeh!  Yes we can excercise when we put our minds to it! Having said that she informed me that she has had 'left-over Behesht' for lunch today! For those of you who don't know what Behesht is, I am not talking about paradise or heaven in the literall sense, this a  Persian restaurant in north London and some would have you believe that the food really does come from Behesht!

Neil has just made us a Ghalyoon and I think this  must be the sign that I have waffled on enough!!

Before I go, let me once again request that you do partake in the inteactive element of the blogosphere! This means that some of you should occasionally leave me a commetn or a message!

Well, folks enjoy the rest of the week, be good, think of me on Wednesday at 10.30 am, I have an interview and divine assistance would be much appreciated!!

    See you folks,

    Saghar

    Summer has begun?

Well,  what a lovely weekend it was! The sun was shining its as if summer is here!!  About time too! I can't believe how awful it has been until now.  Neil and I had a great relaxing weekend, it went as fast as ever and before we knew it we were watching 24 again!

That's something at least, Sunday evening TV viewing is good at the moment.

I'm still waiting for you people to chat to me here, come on give me a reason to carry on doing this!

Check out the photos from The Mill

Well, its another Monday.  I don't know why it is that I always seem to write on a Monday.  My lovely friend Manijeh let me have some photos that were taken on a lovely day we spent at The Mill.  That is the home of the Appa's whose beautiful daughter got married in Mauritius in March.  We were very lucky to be able to attend, so there will be more photos going on here soon.  But for now here are the photos of the Party on 6th May, fun was had by all and here are some photos to prove that!

    Mondays

So, it has been a long while since I started to do this, but I am still getting into the swing of things!  There is still a lot of photos that need to go on here, and I need to get into a habit of actually writing something regularly.  Mondays are the worst aren't they? Specialy when you have had a few extra days added to it, like Neil and I had last week.  Oh well, its all for the greater good I guess.

Anyway I hope to start seeing some comments at some point, otherwise I might start wondering if I should bother!
    April 10

    Here we go!

Well, here goes! I've started in the blogosphere!! I still have loads to do to get this space looking respectable, but its still progress.

A great friend of mine has been very encouraging, so hopefully she will approve of all this when its finished.  So far you can see some of the pictures we took last year in Iran.  It was soooo great to see my family after so long, we had a wonderful time in the  short two weeks we were there!

To all my lovely cousins, aunts and uncles, I love you guys and miss you loads, lets hope we see eachother again very soon.

    Bye for now.
